Always treat your jewelry with love and care, so it will continue to shine for many years to come.
How to wear
To ensure your BAIXA pieces accompany you for as long as possible, remove your jewelry before any activity that risks physical damage. Take off your jewelry while working out, cleaning, showering or swimming in chlorinated or salt water. We also recommend removing your rings when washing your hands.
To further protect your favorite pieces from damage, avoid direct contact with lotions, cosmetics or perfumes. The chemicals within such beauty products are generally harmful for jewelry as they can speed up the tarnishing process and make the metal seem dull.
As a rule of thumb, we recommend your jewelry to be the last thing you put on before going out and the first thing you remove upon coming home.
How to store
Proactive maintenance is the easiest way to care for your jewelry. When not worn, store your jewelry in a dark, cool and dry place. Heat, humidity, and sunlight can cause oxidation, so ideally you keep your treasures in a jewelry box or soft pouch to protect them from scratching and impact damage.
Always ensure the pieces are completely dry before storing them. Try to store your jewelry separately to avoid scratches or tangling up. Particular care should be taken with gemstones to ensure they don't knock against one another when stored. Also remember to keep your chains closed so they don’t become tangled up.
How to clean
A general clean from time to time will help to keep your beloved BAIXA jewelry looking shiny and new. We recommend cleaning your jewelry with a soft, non-abrasive and lint-free microfiber cloth to maintain its shine and remove dirt and premature tarnishing.
Gently polish your items but never over polish them so you don’t remove the plating. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as these contain harsh chemicals that can destroy your jewelry over time. Further, we don’t recommend the use of polishing cloths that have been treated with cleaners or polishing agents.
Following our jewelry care guide will ensure your BAIXA pieces to look shiny and flawless for a long time. Please do note that all metals naturally oxidize with time and require maintenance as described above.
